I beg anyone reading this to not go here! Don’t trust any cars they have, they will lie to you because they’re paid on commission. My car still has things that I haven’t been able to afford fixing that the dealership hid from me. It’s been nearly 2 years since I bought the car originally and will NEVER go back to a small dealership like that again. Insanely fortunate for me, I was able to get on a private loan with a wealthy friend at 5% interest instead. The crappy credit union that I was stuck with almost took my car because the interest was so high. In the end I couldn’t afford to get a lawyer and bit the bullet. I left the business more angry than I’ve ever been in my life because of the way Id been treated. The owner was instantly aggressive and rude, obviously trying to hide his dishonesty. I brought in my car and had a talk with the owner of the company, hoping they’d just reimburse the cost of the manifold replacement (which was 800 $!). According to the Lemon Law, it is illegal for a dealership to sell a car that cannot pass DEQ/emissions tests (this is when I bring up how the sleazy salesman told me that he was an «expert.» An expert bullsh*ter maybe). The catalytic manifold which holds 2 of the 3 converters was gone and in it’s place was an aftermarket header.

I took it in and guess what?! They hid something else from me! Turns out my car needs 3 catalytic converters to pass emissions and work properly. One day I was driving and the check engine light came on (maybe 3 months from the purchase of my vehicle). There was a huge chip in the paint on the back bumper that they just spray painted black over, it took me months to clean out all of the white polish left over by some amature polisher at the dealership that didn’t know what they were doing, and they hadn’t changed the oil in god knows how long. The convertible top was much more raggedy than I originally thought and started to get worse. As I got to know the car better a lot of things started to stand out. A couple months down the road, I’m paying a ridiculous amount of money for my loan payments to a bank that I didn’t trust at all (another word of advice, if they try to put you on a loan with a bank you’ve never heard of, DONT DO IT). They put me on a loan at 30% interest!!! Being a kid that had never purchased a car from a dealership or been on a loan, I decided to do it anyways. The entire time I was in the process of filing for a loan, the sleazy salesman felt the need to continually tell me how I «was perfect for this car» and how he «knew I was the right person because he know I would take care of it.» Another salesman told me about how much of an «expert» he was on these specific cars (which I’ll come back to). I purchased a 9, 000 $ Toyota with a 1, 000 $ down payment. I made the mistake of rushing into a loan and didn’t look into the business enough (which I hope I can detour people from doing through this review). I bought my second car I’ve owned from Budget Auto Sales.

Please heed from my mistake and see what is coming to them take its course. There are not many times when I’ve had such a horrible experience that I needed to download Unilocal to warm people away. Not only would I never buy from here again, I expect many have similar experiences and were it not for them completely screwing customers with unsafe and sub-par vehicles, they would not be in business. Even for experienced buyers, this is one to stay clear from. I looked at 12 of the approximate 25 trucks here and bought the only one not completely rusted or had been in an accident. I expect a business to have integrity and do what they say they are going to do, especially if it is in writing. This is also likely because both wheel bearings were destroyed and the pitman arm needed to be replaced. The alignment wasn’t done and they apologized, and they said if I didn’t want to drive it back, they would issue me a check. The fluid and the filters were exactly the same and the intercooler lines and drain plug remained unremoved. After I discovered it had not been done and did it myself, they said that their mechanics did it. They lied and failed to provide proof in an invoice. They performed neither, yet stated they had performed the flush at a local shop.

After buying, I delivered the truck for them to filter and flush the transmission as well as an alignment. I’m not intimidated by the typical rush-to-sit-down and push to get you to buy immediately dealer, as I specified the work that the truck needed before agreeing to the purchase. I bought a diesel truck from here recently.
